Designed by UK designer and competition pilot
Chris Foss, the Phase 6 is the last in a long line of
successful models designed for slope soaring aerobatics. The
Phase 6 rapidly became very popular through the quality
of the kit and flying performance. It was also helped by
the smooth looks, in particular the delicately raked fin,
this being a feature of all Chris Foss designs.
The model is supplied
in two versions. The Sport has an E205 wing which has a
good light wind performance, but limited ability
inverted. For proper aerobatics the Professional version
with the fully symmetrical wing is preferable.
Construction is balsa/ply fuselage and foam/obechi
veneer wings.
The Phase 6 is still in production after approximately
twelve years.
