About Maurice Shellim

Maurice was born in Shanghai in 1915. He qualified as a doctor at Guy's Hospital (London) in 1939 and served in the Royal Army Medical Corps in the Middle East and Italy.

His extensive travels were a strong influence on his work, and he held regular exhibitions in London.

Maurice also published a definitive work on Thomas and William Daniell, two artists who painted extensively during their travels in India during the 18th century.

Maurice Shellim died on 18th August, 2009.
