GPS-F3F - a GPS-based tracker for F3F practice
Description
GPS-F3F is a Lua script for practising F3F runs without the need for bases or timing gear. Instead, the script uses GPS telemetry to track the model around a virtual F3F course.
The full F3F experience is provided, including call outs for the 30 second countdown, off/on course, number of legs completed and final time.
Note: the project is currently work in progress. Please see the User guide for more info.
Requirements
- Mono screen radios w. EdgeTX 2.10 and above, or OpenTX 2.3.15.
- Colour screen radios w. EdgeTX 2.10 and above
- GPS sensor providing lat/lon telemetry
The system was developed using a Radiomaster Pocket tx, ER8GV receiver and ERS-GPS sensor. Flight testing has also been conducted with GX12 and TX16S tx's.
