Welsh Open F3F
19th September 2004
A fine weekend of F3F flying! A smallish field of 31 pilots meant 13 rounds were flown despite numerous showers over the two days. The mix of conditions made it a real test of pilot skill, with a very tight finish.
Greg Dakin took first place flying his Race M superbly all weekend. Espen Torp came second with his new Aris. In third place was Kevin Newton flying his Viking. Full results on Kevin's site.
Special mentions:
- Alex McMeekin - 2nd at the end of the first day, and 5th overall flying his new Falcon, now ready for production.
- Espen for kindly donating the raffle prize (See his ET-Air site).
- And John McCurdy, for breaking his unfortunately named Aris on its first outing (due to a radio fault).
Enjoy...!
