Nine rounds of F3F in the lovely surroundings of the Long Man - what better way to spend a Sunday!
Fourteen pilots entered. Flight conditions were quite variable, but with nine rounds flown it ended up being a reasonably level playing field.
Martin Newnham flew very well indeed, winning three rounds and the competition with his Freestyler. Simon Thornton was runner up with his Shinto, achieving the fastest time of 38.2 sec (it was the sole sub-forty). Graeme Mahoney was a splendid third with his Fosa Space Lift.
Mention must be made of the landing area, which was one of the nicest I can remember - just a few meters walk over short grass and then a flat area with no rotor.
