Greg Dakin guides his model past the centre

BMFA L5, Hole of Horcum

It was touch and go whether I'd attend this event, and I'm glad that I did! The turnout was pretty good with 14 pilots, and we got in 14 rounds. It was mercifully dry, though the lift was quite variable from run to run leading to a wide spread of times.

It was good to see some new faces. In particular, Tom Heaversedge was smiling all through his first F3F competition and was showing some promise by the end!

When the scores were added the winner was Greg Dakin. Greg flew his usual tight and spectacular style, somehow managing to keep his model on step even in flat conditions. Mark Redsell was a good second, and Peter Gunning third. I managed to get fastest time, thanks to some good air in round 1.

Acknowedgements

Many thanks to Jon Edison and Mark Treble for keeping the show so firmly on the road.
