2025 F3F BMFA L1

13 April 2025

Mike Evans took sixth place with his Pike Precision.

BMFA League 1

This was my third visit to the Bwlch in four weeks - well you can never have enough of a good thing! I was there for the first competition of the 2025 season. And what a good comp it was...

The action took place on Mickeys West which happens to be the least accessible and most physically demanding part of the ridge. Fortunately the effort was worth it as we had good conditions (winds 5 - 10 m/s) and only a few spots of drizzle later on.

By the half way stage it was clear that it would be a tight contest between Mark Redsell and Andy Burgoyne. Mark just managed to hang on to his lead to win the event, after a late charge by Andy. Mark Treble recorded the fastest time with a 34.38 second run.

Pilot of the day must surely be Phil Taylor who clocked up three sub-40s with his FS6 on his way to a splendid third place. It was great to see him back in such good form!

All in all a most enjoyable day and hopefully a portent of good things to come. Roll on the Nationals on 17/18 May!

Acknowedgements

Thanks to Les, Andy, Brett and Mark Treble for organising and helping.
