2024-5 F3F Welsh Winter League 5

15 March 2025

Paul Stubley feeling the cold! He flew his Orden into fifth place.

Welsh Winter League 5

Finally!... we were blessed with decent weather, and those who braved the cold were rewarded with a fine comp on the Wrecker.

Conditions on the slope were pretty good... just slightly crossed at times and with occasional thermal activity to juggle the positions a little.

Mark Redsell flew his FS5 and FS6 superbly, winning five of the eight rounds. I squeezed into second place with my FS5 after a tussle with Andy Burgoyne who finished third with his V-Race. (Those who think that F3F fuselages are already thin enough should take a look at the V-Race!)

We were delighted to welcome Ferenc 'Frank' Paskai who flew very well in his first F3F competition.

All in all a most enjoyable day's F3F. This was the final - and sole - Welsh winter league event, and we are all looking forward to the Champion of Champions in two weeks time. And the summer league to follow!

Acknowedgements

Many thanks to Andy for CD'ing and for organising the comp.
